Cadernos de gaita. 23: Enredadas, for three bagpipes
The popular series Cadernos de Gaita, started by Dos Acordes back in 2005 at the suggestion of Suso Vaamonde, maintains the same quality which led it to become a go-to reference in the world of bagpipe. This time, composer María Mendoza, teacher at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Ourense, presents "Enredadas", for three bagpipes (C, C, G). The piece, with a strong bagpipe character, implies the author’s academic background. Created and dedicated to the famous bagpiper Lorena Freixeiro, who also teaches at her school, and also to the advanced students Noelia Díaz and Sara Fernández, Enredadas enhances the currently sparse repertoire for the training of three bagpipes.
