Cadernos de gaita. 4: Studies. Elementary level (written in C)

A “study” is the intermediate step between the technical exercise and the piece, a kind of exercise with a musical form. The aim of this publication is to provide an additional tool, essential in the study of any other musical instrument, to the teaching of the bagpipe. The contents of this first volume are suitable for beginners, in a pleasant and progressive way, in the learning of the instrument, as well as for its subsequent improvement. It is divided into four levels, corresponding to the four official courses of the Elementary Grade of Galician bagpipe taught in the public conservatories of music of Galicia. Each level consists of ten studies and one piece: a total of forty studies and four works. Aimed at the novice bagpiper and at those who, knowing the instrument, want to improve their technique. It is also designed to help teachers and professionals in the teaching of the bagpipe. It is available in two editions, in C and D notation, to make it as easy to understand as possible (WARNING: the editions have different purchase references).
