Gaita 2.1: 21st century compositions with a traditional touch

This work collects twenty-one pieces in three different formats (audio CD, CD-ROM, and book) as a clear commitment to contemporary music and the different ways of writing for this instrument. In addition to the pedagogical character of Pel e madeira, the musicological character of Músicas Históricas de Galicia, or the diverse character of the popular collection Cadernos de Gaita, a new series is now added, whose criterion is compositional as well as interpretative. The authors who participated in this work are Milo Romero (producer), Alberto Coya, David Bellas, Diego Mariño, Daniel Bellón, Gonzalo Abelairas, Isidro Vidal, Xurxo Fernández, Pedro Álvarez Fariñas, Ana Belén López Villar, Cristian Silva, Daniel Lumbreras, Rafael Crespo, Agustín Sánchez, and Pedro D. Lamas. Thus, Dos Acordes wants to continue with its particular and wide vision of what Music (with a capital M) should be.
