MUSGAFOL: Galician Academic Music for Bagpipes

After more than a century of vindicating to dignify the Galician bagpipes and the bagpiper, our national instrument is currently at its peak, a period in which it has recovered its recognition and social respect and in which its teaching and dissemination are guaranteed. MUSGAFOL is a space for the dissemination of contemporary academic music of the 21st century composed for Galician bagpipes. In this first edition, some of the best bagpipers and pianists in our country came together to perform a selection of the academic repertoire for bagpipes and piano. They did a live recording of the first monographic CD of this formation, a milestone in the history of our instrument.
