Pel e madeira: Basic repertoire for bagpipes and Galician percussion. Volume 1

This score book includes 30 popular pieces arranged for two bagpipes, drum, and bass drum. It includes two sound discs with the recording of all the songs performed by the authors. In each of the CDs, called GAITA and PERCUSIÓN, the listener will be able to listen to each of the instruments in the traditional quartet separately on the stereo. This way, by moving the balance control to the right or left channel, we can block the instrument we choose and replace it with our own live interpretation as part of a “virtual quartet”. Thanks to this system: -The score of each instrument can be easily linked with its interpretation, and vice versa. -The listener's auditory perception and ability to imitate sounds would be developed, as well as intonation and rhythm control. -The interpreter would feel integrated in a virtual group, and so, their instrumental practice will no longer be solitary.
