Seis poemas galegos, by Federico García Lorca, revised by Isidro Maiztegui
This work synthesises the identity of Galicia, including that of the Galician emigrants living in Buenos Aires, as you can see in the Cántiga do neno da tenda. It contains an introduction by Ana María Mondolo, professor at the School of Arts and Musical Sciences of Buenos Aires (Argentina).
After the edition of Villancico Extrafino, by Juan Pérez Berná, on lyrics by Miguel Hernández, it is an honour for Dos Acordes to present Maiztegui's musicalisation of another of our great poets who was an unjust victim of fascism, like Hernández. In Six Galician Poems, Galicia and Andalusia come together in a heartbroken song to which Maiztegui knows how to add the emotion of music. A real challenge for authentic singers, those who are not afraid of chamber performance.
