Síntese, for orchestra

According to the author, Pablo Beltrán Sobrado, the work, as its title indicates, tries to synthesise various elements and circumstances (musical experience, technical learning, and personal experiences) that converge in the ideology of the work that, somehow, is summarised in the Galician word Síntese. It is a work of timbre sensations, where precise timing, articulation, and dynamic gradations play a key role, without neglecting the melodic aspect. The composition features moments of great sonorous density, occasionally with spectral features, while maintaining clarity and instrumental dialogue. The piece is written in five events: 1. Desespero (Hopelessness) 2. Frialdade, Nostalgia (Desolation, Nostalgia) 3. Tristura e Dor (Sadness and Pain) 4. Calma (Calm) 5. Celme, Soidade (Essence, Solitude). Pablo Beltrán SobradoThese events, which are not movements, take place successively and seamlessly, expressing different moods and emotions that arose during the creation of the work and, in some way, served as motivation and inspiration to the composer. Formally, the piece is discursive in nature, without breaks, with transitions marked only by subtle changes in character between events. It is a journey of sensations, aiming to reflect various images, as in a soundscape or a painting. Simply put, it is music.
